Megan Fields discovered Pilates while she was working as a professional ballet dancer. Wanting to gain a competitive edge against her fellow company members, she sought out regular Pilates sessions to cross-train and condition her body. Megan found that Pilates greatly enhanced her dancing and helped keep her injury-free her entire professional performing career. After experiencing firsthand how greatly Pilates enhanced her overall wellness, Megan decided she would become an instructor and completed an in-depth, 600-hour apprenticeship certification program. In addition to her Pilates certification, Megan holds a 200-hour instructor certification in yoga and is a Precision Nutrition Level 1 Coach. Megan holds a Bachelors Degree from Old Dominion University and continues to grow.
Megan loves using Pilates to help others achieve increased stability, improved biomechanics, and ultimately, a better quality of life. In addition to using Pilates in a rehab setting, she has also worked with professional athletes, including a wide receiver in the NFL and the touring artists of Cirque Du Soleil as well as numerous dancers.
When she’s not teaching Pilates, Megan is teaching dance or spending time on the beach with her husband and her labrador retriever, Buxton.
